Tiwa Savage Addresses Lekki Massacre At The MOBO Awards

Creative and popular Nigerian pop female star, Tiwa Savage was featured at the MOBO Award on Wednesday. And she used the opportunity to address the one of the pressing issues in Nigeria at the moment, the Lekki Massacre.

Nigerians still upset about the killings and the absence of justice are doing everything they can to keep the words out until the are certain that justice has been executed.

Her performance was top notch as she performed with impressive energy and stagecraft.

The famous music artist and mother of one was performing for the first time on MOBO stage

Her performance was not just amazing it was expressive, and she totally blew everyone away when she circumvented and began to reminisce about the victims of the #Endsars Protests, especially the massacre of October 20, 2020 at the Lekki Toll Gate aptly tagged “Lekki Massacre

In a sentiment loaded voice, the celeb cried out, “Who gave the order” to the gaieties and sadness of the audience both at the event location and those streaming on YouTube.

Tiwa Savage’s voice and music seized the hearts of many Nigerians.

As for the awards, Wizkid and Burna Boy continued to fly the flag of Nigeria high on the international scene, making the country proud.

Wizkid bagged the Best African Act award while Burna Boy received the Best International Act.

The MOBO Awards hosted by Maya Jama and Chunkz is the UK’s biggest festivity of Black music and culture.

It was live-streamed solely on YouTube at 7.00PM GMT and broadcast on BBC One at 10.45PM GMT with outstanding highlights accessible on BBC iPlayer the same night and favoring content in BBC Sounds.

The Best African Act award category was in alliance with Afrozons, an American-based founder of popular TV show “How Far With Sheila O” on HIPTv.
