Booming Nigerian comedienne, skit maker and cinematographer, Maryam Apaokagi, popularly known as Taaooma, has debunked rumours made by a filmmaker against her.
The filmmaker identified as Ola dragged the popular Instagram comedienne on social media for allegedly doing her job wrongly after she received a sum of N1.5 million.
The post went viral and attracted many harsh comments from different people.
The post however caught the eyes of the cinematographer as she took to her social media handle to debunk the rumours. She noted that the allegations made against her are fake.
In a post on Twitter the comedienne wrote;
“I am compelled to issue a response based on the untrue and baseless allegations against me. An allegation of such gravity is not what I will allow to slide as it is completely contrary to the values I uphold in the delivery of my services. I remain committed to delivering happiness to all my fans and supporters worldwide. I love you all and thanks for the overwhelming show of goodwill.”
The popular comedienne was dragged on various social media platforms after she was accused by a Twitter user who identified himself as a filmmaker called Ola of doing a sloppy job and making rude statements. He also added that the comedienne refused to refund the N1.5 millon she was given for the project.
Taaooma, in a recent post, shared a post from the management company she did the work for. In the post, the company debunked the rumours that she was paid 1.5 million naira to create a comedy skit and did her no wrongly.
The management company revealed that they have spoken to their lawyer concerning the issue and they have promised Taaooma to sue all individuals involved In sharing the false news and every social media platform that helped to share the fake news.
