Sarkodie Featured on My Song for Free & Gave Me 200 Cedis – Sherifa Gunu

Singer Sherifa Gunu has revealed how rapper Sarkodie featured on her song for free and even gave her 200 Cedis for transport after their recording session was over.

She says many people who do not know the rapper might assume that he is unfriendly and snobbish, but she says if you get to know him well, you would know how caring he can be.

Sherifa Gunu was speaking to On Air Personality (OAP), Ebo Safo during a live program on Holy Daz Online Radio which is dubbed as ‘Celebrity Vibez hour.’

On the show, the singer also touched on the need for the Ghanaian to actively support the creative arts industry, because a lot of artists are going through difficulties but still trying to make music magic happen and push their songs around the world.

When the host asked her how she was able to make the collaboration between herself and Sarkodie happen after about nine years since they first recorded together on a song titled ‘Sherifa.’ The female songstress made it known that, she was very surprised how Sarkodie reacted to her when she called on him for the collaboration.

”I called Sarkodie for feature on my new song, and he told me to send the beat to him. Afterwards, he called me back to demand for the contact of the Music Engineer whom I did. “

“Sarkodie called me the next day that, he is ready at a place waiting for me to move to the studio together. I joined him to the studio, recorded with me at the studio without any charge, and even gave me Ghc 200 for my transport,” Sharifa said.

Sherifa has a new song out titled “The World is Sick,” and the video is expected to be released in a few days time.
