Ooni of Ife Features in Mr. Macaroni’s Skit

The overlord of the Yoruba Kingdom, the Ooni of Ife has made a surprising appearance in the latest Mr. Macaroni skit.

The Ife throne is a much revered one as it is believed that the Yoruba people of South Western Nigeria all have their roots from Ife, as such, the Ooni has more or less a default role as the ruler of the Yoruba people.

The current Ooni, Oba Adeyeye Enitan, ascended the throne on the 26th of October, 2015 at the age of 40.

At age 40, he is believed to be one of the youngest if not the youngest Ooni ever. he is known to mix the modern era practices with proven insights and the wisdom of old.

He being cognisant of the fact that Mr. Macaroni is currently one of the biggest influencers of the youth in Nigeria, decided to collaborate in the latest skit with the comedian, in order to pass a message across to the modern day Nigerian youth. The major message passed in the skit is the need for younger people today to uphold the good traditions of old, such as the need to always be respectful of the elderly and making sure to greet, as it is an important aspect of African culture to that needs to be preserved.
