Founder of Kaywise Academy, Ayorinde Okiki, popularly known as DJ Kaywise, after more than five years of innovating, tutoring, nurturing and creating platforms to help young and aspiring DJs in Nigeria, has showed his pleasure at the amount of success that has been recorded in the academy, adding that with enough facilities and infrastructure, the Nigerian entertainent industry will prosper.
In an exclusive chat with Potpourri, the disc jockey expressed his about the continued lack of infrastructure that keeps preventing the development of striving music disc jockeys.
DJ Kaywise said that he created his academy to prepare fresh minds whose ambitions are to become successful disc jockeys. He added that he has always been driven by helping people, he said he has always been passionate about creating the right environment for aspiring DJs.
He said he grew up with an environment without proper structure for success as an entertainer, consequently, he was moved to contribute to curb the problem.
Kaywise Academy has more than five branches all over Nigeria and DJ kaywise revealed that the academy has graduated more than 600 students, who, according to DJ Kaywise, have become successful successful DJs all over the continent.
Talking about his academy with Potpourri, DJ Kaywise said;
“I grew up in an environment where there was and still no proper structure that would guarantee success of stakeholders in the industry and I was moved to contribute my part to correcting the problem, hence the birth of Kaywise Academy.”
“My mission is to create the next line of generational DJs that would show the world that Nigeria has what it takes to be one of the best when it comes to music and sounds. We can’t continue to wait on those who will not help our situation, so my academy was floated to contribute my quota and give hope and voice to the people,” he said.
