Manchester United won the premier league encounter with Brighton this evening to keep up the chase for top four spot on the league table. This evening’s win takes closer to Chelsea with only two points separating the two team.
Ole started off Pogba and Fernandes started together in the midfield and this par promised to be a solid one for the game as Manchester United domniated the mid-field for the greater part of the match.
Anthony Martial came close to scoring in the 3rd minute in the penalty box but could not complete the turning in order to finally shoot goal wards before the ball was intercepted by the Brighton defender.
Bruno Fernandes latched into a Pogba pass in the 11th minute and struck a shot just outside of the 18 yard box and only to right bar of the goal post, Pogba then ran in for the robound but it was deflected for a corner kick by a Brighton defender.
Mason Greenwood made a solo run on the 16th minute and scored the first goal of the match. This fueled the overall game domination by the team from Manchester.

Brighton came close to scoring in the 59th minute after Macallister’s free kick was met and shot towards goal by Trossard, but the ball just went across the mouth of goal into touch.
Manchester United made 3 substitutions in the 63rd minute with Pogba, Bruno and Luke Shaw making way for McTominay, Brandon Williams and Pereira.
Williams came close to scoring when his head met a cross by Wan Bissaka only to be blocked by a Brighton defender into corner.
Manchester United keeper was forced to pull a great save in the 69th minute by Brighton handing the home team a corner kick.
Maupay also forced a save from David De Gea in the 75th minute as Brighton came close to scoring once more.
Daniel James and Odion Ighalo came in the game on the 77th minute mark for Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial
Scott McTominay was denied by the Brighton keeper in the 83rd minute as he shot from outside the box aiming at goal.
The 3 minutes added time was pretty much uneventful as the game ended 3 – 0 in favour of Manchester United
