“Make una dey fear God” – Mr. Macaroni talks about sex for roles in the industry

Debo Adebayo, popular comedian and skit maker, better known as Mr Macaroni, has shared his opinion on the rampant sex for roles phenomena in the Entertainment Industry, mostly in Nollywood.

Sex for rolls in Nollywood is an ongoing saga that has been happening for years. Most victims have refused to publicly reveal their assailants to avoid being out of favour in the industry.

The comedian took to his Twitter page to share a series of tweets, where he addressed the matter. He said sex for roles in the industry has made talented people who refused the offer to strugle.

“This is a perfect time to speak and appeal to the conscience of those in the industry who will never give opportunity to upcoming artists until they sleep with them or collect money from them. Make una dey fear God!!!” he wrote.

“Open your paynt…. those before you did it ooo. If you want to help your career.. come and suck me” Where is our humanity? This has gone on for so long and it has even become a norm. You will see great Talents struggling simply because they refused to “suck.”

“This isn’t peculiar to the entertainment industry alone. Schools, Banks, Hospitals… these acts are common everywhere. It is totally unfair and wicked. Stop taking advantage of people who are only trying to fulfill their dreams. Have some decency!!! We must do better!!!,” Macaroni noted..

This comes after many celebrities called out Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijeshs, after he was accused of allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

Baba Ijesha was arrested recently for molesting a teenage girl, reportedly comedian princess’s foster daughter. It was also reported that he confessed to his crimes.

However, it was recently revealed that Baba Ijesha has been granted bail because of inadequate evidence.
