I grabbed Davido’s hand the first day I saw him – Peruzzi

Nigerian musician and DMW signee, Peruzzi told Nancy Isime in an exclusive interview that meeting Davido was hard but his manager provided the spirit he needed to meet the Afrobeat supers tar.

Peruzzi opened up to Nancy Isime on the first day he met his boss, he spoke on the connection they have together as friends.

Peruzzi has been working with Davido ever since he was signed into Davido’s record label, DMW. The duo have created some songs together and Peruzzi has helped Davido to write some of his songs.

He said that the hardest moment was meeting Davido. He had to approach cautiously to avoid mistake. He said he was happy when Davido stretched out his hand to shake him, he then said that he grabbed Davido’s hand with immediate effect and that has since then changed his life.

Sharing his experience meeting Davido, the singer said;

“In the interview where he layed it all bare, he said, It was really difficult to meet him. It was just me, my manager and my friend. So my manager just said come, lets’ go and try. So he told my guy to wait so we won’t be too many Niggas there. So I started going small small making sure I don’t step on anyone before they slap me. When I got to two people before David, I just rose my head up and then he looked at me and just stretched his hand. Broda, if you see the way I grabbed that hand… Yes! Yes, My Guy.”

Since his stride into the music scene, Peruzzi has ensured his relevance in the music industry with hit jams that has gained him more recognition all over the continent.

He dropped the tracklist of his album in November last year, although he hasn’t released the album, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of their star.
