Frank Edoho rejects suggestions to replace Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as host of BBNaija

Frank Edoho, Nigerian broadcaster, filmmaker and media personality, has refused calls from social media users to replace Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as the host of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show.

On Thursday, Twitter was flooded with tweets from social media users suggesting that the organisers of the Big Brother Naija show should consider someone else as the host of the next edition of the show, adding that Frank Edoho, who hosted the famous “Who Wants To Be Millionaire” show, would be perfect as the host of BBNaija.

Enuka Obi-Uchendi has been hosting Big Brother Naija since 2017 and many social media users pointed out that Frank Edoho hosted “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” for 13 years. They described Frank Edoho as more experienced.

“Ebuka don eat small, make him allow another person chop! Frank Edoho as BBNaija host for this season won’t be a bad choice…,” a user had said.

Reacting to the tweets, the broadcaster rejected the Netizens’ suggestions, adding that Ebuka does not deserve to be removed as the host of BBNaija.

Edoho said it was awful that people would suggest the replacement of someone who has hosted the show successfully for three years.

“What did Ebuka do to deserve all this? Why would you want to change someone that has done a show successfully for only 3 years and have him replaced with one who did WWTBAM for 13 years? Leave Ebuka alone! Please,” he wrote.

In another post, the ace broadcaster revealed he will appear on the screens soon but not as a BBNaija host.

“I will be back on TV soon. But absolutely not on Big Brother,” he added.

This comes after MultiChoice Nigeria, the organisers of the BBNaija show announced an early audition for the 6th edition of the show.

They also listed the criteria for people who are willing to audition and announced the grand prize of N90 million for the winner of the show.
