Davido Visits Petroleum Minister, Timipre Sylva over #EndSARS Promises

Davido, has paid a complementary visit to the minister of state for petroleum resources, Timipre Sylva.

The singer paid a visit to the petroleum minister over the promises made by the government to #EndSARS protesters following the massacre at Lekki Toll gate.

The minister took to his Twitter page to share images of the two of them.

According to reports, Sylva assured Davido in the meeting that President Muhammadu Buhari is addressing all the issues raised by people concerning the #EndSARS protest.

It was reported that the duo also discussed other issues concerning the citizens of the country, art, youth empowerment, politics, and Nigeria in general.

In his post on Twitter, the minister described Davido as a person with a “great mind, great character and great artist,” he pointed out that Nigeria is endowed withh a lot of raw and undiscovered talents that need to be uncovered to help the country reach higher heights.

It was also reported that in a statement by the minister’s spokesperson, Julius Bokoru, the petroleum minister said that President Muhammadu Buhari “is on a fair and right trajectory in addressing concerns raised by the #EndSARS protesters.”

The minister also commended Nigerian youths, adding that their generation is a smart one. However, he pointed out that Nigerians need to come together, think, and come up with solutions to the problems of the country.

“Your generation is a smart one but it must proffer solutions too. If we all blame ourselves then we are farther and farther from any real solution. We must all harmonize, brainstorm, and come up with creative ideas to improve life in our country,” he said.

Davido also commended the minister for the gas initiative project, the National Gas Expansion Programme (NGEP), and the Autogas schemes designed to reduce the country’s dependence on petrol.
