The Nigerian First Lady, Aisha Buhari, was in a near plane crash incident, saving the country from a national disaster. Some hours ago, the private jet on which the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, and her daughter, Hanan, where travelling in from Dubai, United Arab Emirates back to Nigeria, lost control for about 10 minutes after five hours of flying; this is according to Saharareporters.
It can be recalled that Saharareporters broke the news that the First Lady had apparently “sneaked out” to the UAE, in a disguise that the trip was a medical emergency even whiles the government led by her husband had imposed lockdown and COVID related travel ban. Sahara Reporters believes that the trip was rather made to help shop for the forthcoming wedding of Hanan.
On their return trip to Nigeria on Friday on a private jet with registration number GIV N52MK belonging to billionaire Mohammed Indimi, the plane is reported to have lost complete control for about 10 minutes. At that point, they were about just an hour away from approaching the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
It was a baffling incident whose cause is still yet to be made known. The pilots struggled with the aircraft while Mrs Buhari, Hanan and four others with them on the flight were thrown around in the cabin the whole time.
They were able to land safely eventually at the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport where some of the passengers were had to be rushed to a nearby hospital for medical care.
The First Lady is said to be in good health, however.
Hanan is rumoured to be about to marry Mohammed Turad, son of a former national lawmaker, Alhaji Mahmud Sani Sha’aban, who represented Zaria in the House of Representatives from May 2003 to May 2007.
Speculations are the the wedding ceremony will take place on the 4th of September, 2020, inside the Presidential Villa.
