The release date of the much anticipated Nollywood movie, “2 Weeks In Lagos” has been revealed.
“Two Weeks In Lagos” is said to be released on 12th of February. The movies which was firstly announced to be released on 27th of March, 2020 was postponed due to the enormous increase in the Covid-19 cases last year. However, the new release date of the film has now been revealed and the movie is said to start airing on the 12th of February.
The movie features many famous Nollywood actors such as Toyin Abraham, Uto Usman, Patrick Nnamani, Efe Irele, Mawuli Gavor , Joke Silva, Deyemi Okanlawon, Tina Mba, Beverly Naya, Shaffy Bello, Jide Kosoko, Yaw, and many others.
The movie is directed by Kathryn Fasegha, award-winning director, whose debut project called “Treacherous Heart” was awarded for the Best Drama in Diaspora at the African Oscars in North Carolina, United States of America.
“2 Weeks in Lagos” is a captivating, African romantic movies that lovers around the world would love to watch.
The movie is about the love affair between Ejikeme and Lola (Mawuli Gavor and Beverly Naya respectively). In the movie, Ejikeme is an investment banker who arrives from the United States to invest in Nigerian bussinesses. Ejikeme and Lola meet and fall in love with each other. Their love is put to test by Ejikeme’s mother’s ambition to get Ejikeme married to the only daughter of Otunba Ayodeji, a harsh politician who considers Ejikeme’s father as competition in the Nigerian Presidency, for political reasons. This causes Ejikeme and Lola to be separated and causes a rift between their families.
The film shows how lively, exciting and harsh life in Lagos may be. A place where one’s life could change in the short period of two Weeks.
